Members of the Incirlik community await instructions aboard a C-17 Globemaster during a noncombatant evacuation operation exercise Dec. 13, 2012, at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. More than 75 spouses, children and other non-mission essential civilians attended the event, to get first-hand experience of the noncombatant evacuation process. During a real-world evacuation, family members and non-mission essential Department of Defense personnel would complete the process and be en-route to a safe location within 48 hours of notification.
